Kay Stephenson, Oconomowoc, wrote: "I think this recipe is what she's looking for. each December, we get together with my roommate from association and her husband for a marathon holiday cookie baking day. The first year we did this, he contributed this recipe from his mother. I was curved catched and every year I insist that they hold fast making these.
"This recipe calls for Wheaties, yet I'm sure cornflakes would work just as well. You can use either butterscotch chips or chocolate chips; either are equally delicious."

Kay's No-Bake Cereal Cookies
2 packages (115 ounce each) butterscotch or chocolate chips
bowl creamy peanut butter
5 chalices Wheaties (or cornflakes)
In double boiler or microwave mollify chips and peanut butter. Pour cereal into a large beaker then pour melted mixture above cereal. Gently mix to coat, being careful not to crush the cereal. globule heaping teaspoons of the mixture onto wax-paper-lined cookie sheets and give permission to harden. Makes about 3 dozen.

16 ounce chocolate chips (one 12-ounce bag plus two-thirds of a 6-ounce bag)
2 teaspoons butter
5 lots cornflakes
to 1 lot finely chopped unsalted peanuts (optional)
